Performing at Brooklyn Academy of Music with Doug Varone and Dancers 

In an intricately woven tapestry of sound, shape, momentum, and stillness, choreographer Doug Varone and his 13-member ensemble contemplate our private and public relationship to faith. in the shelter of the fold / epilogue comprises seven interconnected vignettes, featuring original music by Lesley Flanigan, Julia Wolfe, David Lang, Michael Gordon, Raz Mesinai, and Kevin Keller, masterfully performed by Flanigan, PUBLIQuartet and the Bang on a Can All-Stars.

Brandon Ridenour 
World Premiere of CAG-Commissioned Gregory Spears’ Double Trumpet Concerto with the String Orchestra of Brooklyn at Roulette

Brandon Ridenour performs alongside Andy Kozar in the premiere of American composer Gregoy Spears’ Concerto for Two Trumpets and Strings, co-commissioned by BMI Foundation and CAG. Eli Spindel conducts the String Orchestra of Brooklyn, and the program also features the World Premiere of a new work by Phil Kline with guest vocalist Theo Bleckmann.

Aizuri Quartet 
Rockport Chamber Music Festival showcases the Aizuri Quartet,
both on their own and with collaborators

The Aizuri Quartet is featured in their own program, performing quartets by Haydn and Beethoven plus two newer works from their Grammy nominated CD, followed over the weekend by two collaborative programs: the first entitled “Take This Waltz” with the Art of Time Ensemble, and the second featuring violist Gilad Karni of the Tonhalle Orchestra, Zurich, along with pianist Kevin Ahfat and violinist Barry Shiffman.
