Music Director Michael Repper conducts Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto with Fei-Fei and this award-winning 90-piece orchestra
in a program which includes the Fifth Symphony of Dmitri Shostakovich
(preceding a summer 2019 tour of Spain, featuring Fei-Fei as a tour soloist)

Premiere of Michi Wiancko’s Murasaki’s Moon,
Produced/commissioned by Metropolitan Museum and On Site Opera

Composer (and CAG alum) Michi Wiancko and librettist Deborah Brevoort’s new chamber opera tells the story of Japan’s Tale of Genji, featuring Aizuri Quartet and three Japanese musicians as the orchestra.

As always, the Argus Quartet combines new and old in a program featuring the world premiere of a CAG-commissioned work by Katherine Balch, plus the Boccherini string quintet, featuring cellist Astrid Schween of The Juilliard Quartet.
