Argus Quartet makes debut at Alice Tully Hall

The Argus Quartet performs a typically adventurous program as part of the Arnhold Memorial Recital, presented by The Juilliard School where the ensemble is currently the Graduate Quartet in Residence.

The program feartures Chi, a 2017 work by Augusta Read Thomas, as well as music by Mendelssohn, Josquin Des Prez, and Lutoslawski.

Dominic Cheli performs with André-Michel Schub at Virginia Arts Festival

Pianist Dominic Cheli teams up with his former teacher, André-Michel Schub, to perform Mozart’s Sonata in B-flat major for piano 4-hands, K. 358 on May 8. Then on May 11, they join forces with pianist and conductor Arthur Fagen and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra for two special Mozart piano concertos: No. 10 in E-flat major for 2 pianos K. 365 and No. 7 in F major for 3 pianos K. 242 (“Lodron”). Both concerts are part of the Virginia Arts Festival, in celebration of Mr. Schub’s long tenure as Director of Chamber Music.
