CAG’s Artists of the Month…
get to know more about Fei-Fei Dong and Ko-Eun Yi

CAG pianists Fei-Fei Dong and Ko-Eun Yi will both perform at Bard College’s Music Festival this summer. This year’s festival focuses on “Chopin and His World,” featuring concerts exploring Chopin’s life, influences, and legacy.

Fei-Fei hails from China and was a CAG Competition winner in 2014, while Korean-born Ko-Eun won in 2013. Both have an affinity for Chopin and will perform as part of three different concerts in the festival. Fei-Fei will play Chopin’s Fantasy on Polish Airs with the American Symphony and Music Director Leon Botstein on Saturday, August 12, followed by his solo Souvenir de Paganini and Impromptu No. 4 on Sunday, August 13. Ko-Eun will perform solo piano works by GriegFauré, and Brahms, all composers influenced by Chopin, the following weekend on Sunday, August 20.

The festival will also include performances by pianists Piers Lane, Brian Zeger, and Anna Polonsky, members of The Orchestra Now, and the Horszowski Trio, as well as panel discussions and pre-concert talks.
