CAG’s Artist of the Month. Get to know Yoonah Kim.

November brings three important concerts for clarinetist Yoonah Kim: on Monday, November 6, she presents a recital for The Bohemians New York Musicians Club with pianist Kevin Ahfat, featuring works by Ravel, Schumann, Poulenc, and Brahms.

On Wednesday, November 15, Yoonah gives her debut recital on the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago (simulcast live on WFMT-Chicago Classical Radio), and on Sunday, November 19, she performs Weber’s Clarinet Concerto No. 2 in E-flat Major with the DuPage Symphony Orchestra in Naperville, IL.

A Winner of the 2016 CAG Competition, Yoonah is kept busy as a member of Ensemble Connect, a two-year fellowship program at Carnegie Hall that combines teaching, community engagement, advocacy, entrepreneurship, and performing opportunities. Look out for her on Tuesday, December 5, performing Janáček with Ensemble Connect at Weill Recital Hall!
