Summer Listening: Linden String Quartet

The latest summer listening installment features the Linden String Quartet.  The quartet is currently at the Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival and will be at the Perlman Music Program later in August.

We’ve been posting Pandora links but we’ll mix it up a bit this time.

From left to right:

Eric (viola) – Here are the last five songs I played on Spotify:

“La Mer” (Charles Trenet)
“Misty” (Ella Fitzgerald)

Alfred Schnittke’s Piano Quintet

Sarah (violin) – I have been listening to Gillian Welch – The Harrow and The Harvest and Soul Journey. Also, I just downloaded Edith Piaf’s greatest hits 🙂 she was such a fabulous artist!

Catherine (violin) – I’ve been listening to a lot of Latin music: Buena Vista Social Club, salsa, Piazzolla. And Schumann leider.

Felix (cello) – I like listening to The Beatles a lot during the summer because it reminds me of when my family would go on vacations. It was always the music of choice on the long car drives!

Stay tuned for more CAG summer listening!
