About the Pop Up:
Talis Gallery Harlem Pop Up presents world-class photography in a newly-renovated two-family townhouse on a tree-lined street in the heart of Harlem. While the spectacular townhouse is for sale, the exhibition showcases unique framed and unframed images in a relaxed environment that promotes the elegance, beauty and magic of photography.

About the artist:
For more than five decades, Ralph Gibson has dominated surreal photography. He creates images that incorporate everyday fragments with sensual and mysterious undertones, and through them, he builds narrative meaning. Taking pictures of simple things, he transforms them into something arresting, giving the final product contemplative significance. Gibson’s photographs are in the permanent collections of over one hundred museums, he has published over fifty art books, and his works have been in over two hundred exhibitions worldwide.
