CAG Takes a Stand

Concert Artists Guild stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement in protest of racial inequalities and racism which permeate every facet of our society, including the classical music world.

CAG supports artists who stand for something
. We believe in the power of the arts to reach people and will continue to support artistic voices and musicians with purpose. Through our annual competition, we seek out artists who are powerful communicators through their music and also think deeply about how to give context to their artistic platforms. We strive to create a more inclusive space in classical music through innovative and diverse programming and by seeking musicians from diverse backgrounds for our roster.

We stand behind our black artists, and we will do our part to amplify their voices and support their artistry. We do acknowledge that we all must do more, much more.
Please watch this video from CAG Roster violist, Jordan Bak, which illustrates how he is feeling and how we can all unite.
