YCAT Partnership

A collaboration bringing young artists to venues and communities around the globe

When it comes to developing the careers of emerging young artists in Europe and North America, CAG and London’s Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) share more than a century of experience. Following the success of YCAT artists Jamal Aliyev and Tabea Debus at CAG’s competition in 2019, the two organizations draw on their combined expertise to launch a new partnership that will allow them to offer young artists unprecedented new transatlantic opportunities, while also growing the resources available to help them.

The collaboration is timely, for young musicians have never faced greater obstacles in starting their careers, and most struggle to be seen and heard in today’s challenging global environment. By joining forces, YCAT and CAG are confident that they can help these young artists navigate and connect cultural marketplaces on both sides of the Atlantic.

2023 CAG-YCAT ARTIST ROSTER

Tanya Bannister (President, Concert Artists Guild): "I am thrilled that our shared artists have this international opportunity that gives professional career support, concert management and networking on both sides of the Atlantic. Magdalena and Jonathan are unique artists that we know will work together with us to build careers that are musically dynamic and connective to the changing world around them."

Alasdair Tait (Chief Executive & Artistic Director, YCAT): “It is really inspiring to be finally able to bring this new partnership to life, with our first live auditions since launching our partnership in 2019. I am delighted that both Magdalena and Jonathan are now joining our shared roster of artists and we are so looking forward to helping them both develop and grow what I know are going to be truly significant performing careers.”
