The season finale features UK-based pianist Ariel Lanyi, who has recently been awarded the Prix Serdang - a Swiss prize awarded by the distinguished pianist Rudolf Buchbinder. In this program, Ariel explores connections between literature and music, setting pieces by Chopin, Beethoven and Lera Auerbach alongside passages from books including Ian McEwan’s Saturday, Yasmina Reza’s Hammerklavier and Jose Saramago’s Balthasar and Blimunda.
