Two-time recipient of the Solti Foundation U.S. Career Assistance Award (2024, 2025) and a recipient of Concert Artists Guild’s Richard S. Weinert Award, conductor Andrew Jinhong Kim is recognized for his passionate, collaborative approach to music making. He serves as The Marica and Jan Vilcek Music Director of the GRAMMY-winning New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) and the Director of the Berkshire Symphony and Artist-in-Residence in Orchestral and Instrumental Activities at Williams College, here he is committed to mentoring the next generation of musicians.

Andrew has led orchestras across the United States and internationally, including the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, Cabrillo Festival Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and Minnesota Orchestra as a regular Cover Conductor. At the NYYS, he has collaborated with artists including Augustin Hadelich, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Joshua Roman, Clayton Stephenson, Valerie Coleman, and Bella Hristova, while championing works by emerging American composers at Carnegie Hall. In addition to his conducting career, Andrew serves on the faculty of the Conducting Institute, where he coaches and mentors aspiring conductors.
