
ANDREW J. KIM
Two-time recipient of the Solti Foundation U.S. Career Assistance Award (2024, 2025), Andrew Jinhong Kim is a conductor dedicated to joyful collaboration. Andrew is The Marica and Jan Vilcek Music Director of the GRAMMY-winning New York Youth Symphony, and, starting in Fall 2025, the new Director of Berkshire Symphony and Artist-in-Residence in Orchestral and Instrumental Activities at Williams College.
Highlights of Andrew’s 24-25 season include collaborating with soloists Valerie Coleman, Clayton Stephenson, Alexa Jarvis, Ana Isabella España, and Helen Liu Gerhold, assisting on a production of Aida at Dayton Opera through the Elizabeth Buccheri Opera Residency Program, and residencies at Rice and Baylor Universities. He has guest conducted various orchestras in the US and beyond, including the Berkshire Symphony, Brooklyn Symphony, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, among others. He regularly serves as a Cover Conductor with the Minnesota Orchestra and has also served as the Assistant Conductor of Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra.
