What is Citizen Musician Training?
Citizen Musician Training (CMT) is a series of professional development programs designed to instill CAG artists with the confidence and skills to engage audiences of all ages and backgrounds while embodying the values of citizen musicianship.
Through a blend of curated workshops, mentorship, and performance opportunities, CAG artists will learn to bring their artistry to life in ways that engage with, respond to, and impact the world around them.

Career Bootcamp is an annual weekend workshop intensive for new roster artists, offering sessions on practical skills necessary for a successful career.
Sessions Include:
Self-knowledge and mission
Intentional programming
Education initiatives
Entrepreneurship
Marketing and digital strategy
Stage presence and public speaking

The Community Impact Project Incubator is a vital pillar of CAG’s Citizen Musician Training. Through it, artists explore new ways to create positive community impact beyond the concert stage. In this series of workshops, CAG roster musicians:
Identify community needs
Transform these needs into projects
Pitch to fund their project
Launch their project
Network for social impact
After completing the training’s five modules, participants apply the knowledge and skills acquired to write and pitch a high-impact artistic project before a panel of experts.
