  • Salary Range: $55,000–$65,000 (commensurate with experience)

Job Description

Concert Artists Guild seeks a full-time Development Coordinator reporting to the President, responsible for supporting the organization’s fundraising and development efforts. This role is ideal for an ambitious entry- to mid-level professional who will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day development administration, while working closely with the President, COO, Board, and senior grant writing consultant. We seek someone eager to grow into a senior development leader within the organization.

Key responsibilities include supporting CAG’s fundraising activities, managing and updating CAG’s donor database, drafting grants and reports, overseeing events budgets, creating and managing a development calendar, cultivating donor relationships, and collaborating on donor strategy and board engagement. In collaboration with the CAG team, this person will lead special events including the annual gala (a major organizational priority), the annual artist showcase & awards ceremony, and other donor cultivation events. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and comfortable with donor databases and software tools and will be expected to attend CAG concerts and events, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Fundraising & Development
· Assist with executing CAG’s annual fundraising plan, including individual giving campaigns, grant writing, sponsorships, and donor stewardship.

· Draft, manage, and submit grant proposals and reports in coordination with a senior grant writing consultant.

· Identify and research new funding opportunities and maintain an active pipeline of prospects.

· Oversee donor acknowledgments and cultivation activities, ensuring timely, personalized communication.

· Track and maintain accurate donor records and data within the donor database (DonorSnap).

· Collaborate with leadership on donor engagement and major gift efforts.

· Assist in planning and executing special events including the annual gala, artist showcase & awards ceremony, and donor cultivation events.

· Manage annual development budget in collaboration with President and Controller.

Board & Leadership Engagement
· Work directly with the President, COO, and Board to prepare and support annual development goals.

· Provide development updates and prepare materials for board and committee meetings, including agendas and minutes.

· Collaborate with board members to expand CAG’s donor base and network of supporters.


Fundraising Strategy
· Work closely with the President and staff to refine and implement CAG’s fundraising strategy in today’s evolving philanthropic environment.

· Collaboratively generate ideas through a strategic lens, identifying new opportunities and approaches to engage donors and strengthen support for CAG’s mission.

Organizational Collaboration
· Help coordinate artist participation in donor events (e.g., house concerts and gala appearances).

· Coordinate with Controller to reconcile contributed income and ensure accurate fundraising reports.

· Support consistent donor messaging across print, digital, and event communications.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

  • 1–3 years of non-profit or related experience.

    • Experience in an arts or cultural organization, especially in a development role, is preferred.

  • Knowledge of classical music.

  • Strong writing and communication skills, preferably with experience drafting proposals, donor correspondence, and reports.

  • Tech-savvy and able to learn and have command of donor databases, fundraising software, and other software tools (DonorSnap, Excel, Box, Monday.com, etc.).

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.

  • Passion for CAG’s mission and enthusiasm for the performing arts.

  • Must be based in New York City and able to attend evening and weekend events.
