The Bohemians Announce
New $50,000 Prize Partnership

Concert Artists Guild and The Bohemians: New York Musicians' Club are excited to announce a new prize partnership launching at this year's CAG Louis and Susan Meisel Competition with the inaugural Bohemians Artist Residency & Robert A. Levinson and Patricia S. Levinson Arts Achievement Award.

With a total value of up to $50,000 in the form of produced career assets, this prize will be awarded to one or more CAG winners, to be jointly selected by CAG & The Bohemians. This transformative award represents a shared commitment to nurturing artistic excellence and professional development in the next generation of classical musicians.

Administered by the New York Community Trust, the Bohemians Artist Residency & Levinson Award will offer winning artist(s) resources tailored to accelerate their careers, including high-quality video & audio recordings, photo sessions,PR & branding support, and other essential tools for success in today’s evolving classical music landscape.

From Tanya Bannister, President of Concert Artists Guild:As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, CAG is excited to partner with The Bohemians to support our roster of emerging musicians. Launching a career in music requires significant resources, and for many talented artists, access to creating those tools can be a major barrier. We are grateful for the Robert A. Levinson and Patricia S. Levinson Arts Achievement Award and the vital funding it provides to help our artists develop the professional assets they need.”

From Dustin Gledhill, Executive & Artistic Director of The Bohemians: “The Bohemians are thrilled to partner with CAG on this exciting new initiative, made possible by the Robert A. Levinson and Patricia S. Levinson Arts Achievement Award—an important milestone in our Club’s 118-year history. We look forward to working closely with outstanding young artists, helping provide them with the tools they need most to move forward with a career in the performing arts.”

The 2025 CAG Louis and Susan Meisel Competition will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Manhattan School of Music, continuing CAG’s mission of discovering and supporting artists with the potential to make a lasting impact on the classical music world.
