Hailed as a "technical wizard" by Cleveland Classical, Chinese classical guitarist Hao Yang is the First Prize winner of the 2024 Hubert Käppel Koblenz International Guitar Competition, Second Prize winner of the 2024 Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) International Concert Artist Competition, and recipient of the 2026 Harvard Musical Association Foote Award.

Hao has appeared as a soloist with Germany's Chursächsische Philharmonie and has given recitals at the Cleveland, Panama, and Beijing International Guitar Festivals. Her performances have taken her to leading venues including Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, Miller Theatre, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

A passionate chamber musician, Hao made her Carnegie Hall debut premiering Paul Lansky's Talking Guitars alongside Concert Artists Guild alumna JIJI (2016). She has since appeared on the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society (PCMS) series and as a guest artist at the NEXUS Chamber Music Festival and Concordia Chamber Players Festival.
