
NATHAN MELTZER

Violinist Nathan Meltzer, with his "dazzling technique" (Boston Musical Intelligencer) and "gorgeous, dreamlike playing" (Seen and Heard International) is establishing a holistic and multi-faceted career as both a soloist and chamber musician, with passions for both standard and contemporary repertoire. Following prize wins at the 2022 Sibelius and Singapore International Violin Competitions, 1st prize at the Windsor Festival Competition, and receiving the Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant, Nathan has performed concertos with the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France, Philharmonia Orchestra, Finnish RSO, Helsinki Philharmonic, and the Charlotte, Indianapolis, Montreál, North Carolina, and Pittsburgh symphony orchestras, among others. As a recitalist and chamber musician, Nathan has participated in celebrated series including CMS Palm Beach, Death of Classical, and the Honolulu Chamber Music Series, and at festivals including ChamberFest Cleveland, IMS Prussia Cove, La Jolla SummerFest, Music@Menlo’s International Program, Newport Classical, and more.
He is also the co-Founder and Artistic Director of The Green Room Ensemble, a non-profit chamber music organization dedicated to new music and historically unexplored works by composers from a variety of backgrounds and heritages. Eleanor Alberga: The String Quartet Cycle
With the World Premiere of Piano Quintet No. 2, “Stark”
The Green Room Ensemble (Nathan Meltzer, Co-Founder and Artistic Director) is thrilled to present the U.S. Premiere performance cycle of Eleanor Alberga’s Three String Quartets, along with the World Premiere of her Second Piano Quintet with the composer herself at the piano. The Ensemble and Ms. Alberga will also be available for a range of community engagement events, including pre-concert talks and workshops with local conservatories or universities.
