NATHAN MELTZER
violin

Recipient of a 2026 Avery Fisher Career Grant, violinist Nathan Meltzer is establishing a multifaceted career as both a soloist and chamber musician, with a passion for standard and contemporary repertoire alike. Praised for his "dazzling technique" (Boston Musical Intelligencer) and "gorgeous, dreamlike playing" (Seen and Heard International), Nathan is also a major prizewinner at the 2022 Sibelius and Singapore International Violin Competitions.

Nathan has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchestre national d'Île-de-France, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic, Royal Northern Sinfonia, and the Charlotte, Indianapolis, Montréal, North Carolina, and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras. As a recitalist and chamber musician, he has performed at the Dresden Musikfestspiele, Heidelberger Frühling, ChamberFest Cleveland, La Jolla SummerFest, Music@Menlo, Newport Classical, and the Verbier Festival Academy.

He is also the co-Founder and Artistic Director of The Green Room Ensemble, a non-profit chamber music organization dedicated to new music and historically unexplored works by composers from a variety of backgrounds and heritages. The Green Room Ensemble is currently offering an exciting North American tour opportunity with composer/pianist Eleanor Alberga.
