Brazilian violinist Nathan Amaral, Grand Prize winner of the 2024 CAG-YCAT Competitions and First Prize winner of the 2024 Sphinx Competition, has rapidly established himself as one of classical music's most compelling young artists. Hailed by Yo-Yo Ma as "one of the rare musicians who not only possesses the gift of ample technical ability but uses it to transcend technique, getting to the heart and soul of musical expression," Nathan continues to captivate audiences on the international stage.

A 2026 Sphinx Medal of Excellence recipient, Nathan has appeared as soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Philharmonia Orchestra. Recent and upcoming highlights include his debut at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, a concerto engagement with the BBC Concert Orchestra, a recital presented by the San Francisco Symphony, and a return to Wigmore Hall. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nathan founded the Festival SIM (Week of Musical Integration) to mentor and support young musicians from underrepresented communities, reflecting his commitment to expanding access to classical music. He is a graduate of the New England Conservatory, a Thomastik-Infeld Artist, Robey Artist for Music Masters UK, and a Coregami Ambassador.
