This portal will be your go-to resource as you prepare for a successful fundraiser, and will include CAG’s fundraising timeline, goals, important program information, and helpful resources designed to support you throughout your journey.
Fundraising and Event Timeline

50% Fundraising Deadline
Half of your fundraising commitment must be completed by this date.
October 29–31
TCS New York City Marathon Expo
Visit the Expo to pick up your race bib, runner packet, and official gear. Presented by New Balance.
October 31, 12:00 PM (EST)
Final Fundraising Deadline
Your full fundraising commitment must be completed. Any remaining balance will be charged to the personal card on file and will determine your race eligibility.
November 1
New York City Marathon – Race Day
It’s time to run! Get ready to take on all five boroughs.

Fundraising Advice
Start early – Begin sharing your fundraiser as soon as possible to build momentum.
Tell your story – Let people know why you’re running and why CAG matters to you.
Share regularly – Post updates on social media, email friends and family, and celebrate milestones.
Set a goal – Break your fundraising goal into smaller milestones to keep yourself motivated.
Say thank you – Always thank your donors and keep them updated on your progress toward race day.

Fundraising Ideas
Launch your fundraiser with a kickoff post on social media explaining why you’re running for CAG and sharing your fundraising goal.
Send personal emails or texts to close friends and family asking for early support.
Ask your employer about matching gifts to see if your workplace will match donations.
Celebrate personal fundraising milestones (25%, 50%, 75% of your goal) with an update and renewed ask.
Host a small event like a group run, workout class, or happy hour to raise funds and awareness for CAG.
Utilize your social media network to reach a larger audience and tag CAG in your posts for broader reach and collaborative posting.
Create personal materials or flyers using CAG-branded resources to share with your community.
Dedicate miles of your training by inviting supporters to “sponsor a mile” of your marathon.
Share training updates to keep donors engaged and excited as race day approaches.
